Girls Who Paint is now a part of Sarah Renzi Studio!
About the Founder Sarah Renzi Sanders is a contemporary surreal painter born in Washington, D.C. in 1985. Her work is known for its vibrant color palette and meditative landscapes, drawing inspiration from the rhythms, patterns, and cycles of the natural world. Through her paintings, Renzi explores themes of connection, stillness, and our relationship to the earth. After spending a decade teaching art to children, Renzi transitioned into a full-time studio practice. Her work has been featured in international exhibitions as well as national juried shows throughout the greater Washington, D.C. metro area, Philadelphia, and New York. In 2022, she co-founded Girls Who Paint Studio Gallery in Kensington, Maryland with her friend and neighbor, Angie Kilcullen. The space was created to support underrepresented artists, foster creative community, and make art more accessible to people of all ages. Today, Renzi continues to operate Girls Who Paint as a working studio, offering classes for children and adults alongside community events and private gatherings.
Renzi lives and works in Kensington, Maryland with her husband, three children, and dogs.
